It’s the perfect day to make a difference! Stop by EACC (815 Uhlhorn) from 10 AM – 4:30 PM and take a shelter pup out for a 30-minute walk. 🐶💜

📲 Tag us + share their story
❤️ Help them get seen (and adopted!)
Got a superstar pup? 🌟
Write a quick note on their kennel card — “great walker,” “so sweet,” “knows commands” — those little shoutouts matter!

Friends, meet one of my rescues — Luvie Lu!
Back in 2014, I went to Warrick Humane Society to look at a sweet little girl named Sassy for one of my best friends, Karen. She was only a couple months old, but by the time I got there, my friend had already found a Yorkie to rescue.
Well… I fell in love. The only problem? I already had a few Yorkies! 😂
I couldn’t sleep that night, so I called WHS the next day, figuring she had probably already been adopted. As fate would have it, her adoption had fallen through. I took that as a sign and thought, “What’s one more?” So I welcomed her to Gilligan’s Island, and keeping with the theme, Sassy became Luvie Lu. ❤️
Luvie Lu is a Yorkie-poo, a professional escape artist, stubborn as can be, and a scavenger for every crumb she can find — which is why she’s my little tubby bubby. 😂 But she is also the sweetest love bug, and I wouldn’t trade her for anything.
Because of her, I’ve learned to always make sure my yard is secure and my house is gated so she can’t sneak out the front door.
Thank you, WHS, for giving me the opportunity to be her Mommy. Rescue dogs truly do rescue us right back. 🐾❤️

I have several senior dogs & I cherish every slow step I get to walk with them. Nothing infuriates me more when people surrender their senior dog and then end up with a puppy a few days or weeks later. Please don’t abandon your furbaby just because they are older.
